Lesson at liberty today - reminded me why I’m doing this. Karl and I found the beginnings of our own language and he was really connected from the start. I was assertive and moved his shoulders around me with minimal emotion. Got some really lovely changes of direction. Playing with sending the energy to his hindquarters to get his eye on me and then driving him forward. Really started to define my own circle and draw him into it with my energy.

Meg also helped me with leading techniques with the rest of the herd during turn in, like keeping slack in the lead and using it to back them up. Finding each of their thresholds for stress and only raising energy as needed.
